\u00a0What Can I Expect at Avatan?<\/strong><\/p>\n

All guests and members must undergo a mandatory background check before being admitted to the grounds. This is essential to ensure the safety of everyone while on the premises.<\/p>\n

First-time visitors will receive an orientation with a guided tour led by our friendly volunteers. Please note that this is a nude tour to help you fully appreciate what makes Avatan so special!<\/p>\n

You can expect to be greeted warmly by everyone you encounter. Friendliness is a key part of what makes social nudity a pleasant experience, allowing you to engage with others without any judgment other than their sparkling personalities!<\/p>\n

Is This a Nude Camp or a Clothing-Optional Camp?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clothing is optional throughout the campground, but nudity is required in the pool. Children must be potty-trained; otherwise, they are required to wear a suitable swim diaper.<\/p>\n

\u00a0What Is There to Do Around Here?<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can join a game of farkle, participate in bingo at the pool, or get active with volleyball, p\u00e9tanque, pickleball, and horseshoes. Bring an RC car or truck to race at the raceway, take a walk on the walking trails, playground for the children, and enjoy exciting activities on weekend nights.<\/p>\n

If you’re more interested in keeping cool in the pool, expect to meet many new friends! We take pride in being some of the friendliest folks in the Midwest, and you\u2019ll likely receive multiple invitations for drinks on someone\u2019s deck.<\/p>\n

All activities and events are open to guests during their visit. You are our welcome guest, so you don\u2019t need to bring anything other than yourself (and your towel)!<\/p>\n

What Is Proper Pool Etiquette?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please help us keep it clean! Showering before entering the pool is required. There are several outdoor showers equipped with body wash around the pool area, in addition to an interior shower in the clubhouse. Entering the pool clean is part of what keeps it so wonderful all summer long, and we appreciate your help in maintaining the sparkle of our pool and hot tub!<\/p>\n

\u00a0What Should I Bring?<\/strong><\/p>\n

At least one towel per person is essential. Having a personal towel to sit on is proper nudist etiquette. An additional towel to dry off after a dip in the pool, especially in cooler weather.
\n– Snacks and Beverages:<\/strong> Please bring snacks and drinks in unbreakable containers. Check our events calendar to see what might be happening during your visit. Saturdays usually feature a volunteer-run grill outing with burgers, hot dogs, chips, and a drink for a nominal fee. The clubhouse has a full kitchen for you to prepare any meals during your stay.
\n– Sunscreen:<\/strong> Sunscreen is essential\u2014bring more than you think you\u2019ll need! Our frequently repeated catchphrase, “No tan lines!” means you may get burned in some sensitive spots.<\/p>\n

Privacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please note that our grounds are photo- and video-free to ensure safety and privacy. Thank you for respecting this rule, as violations will result in removal from the premises.<\/p>\n

Smoking<\/strong><\/p>\n

You are welcome to smoke in designated areas around the grounds. Please dispose of your remains properly.<\/p>\n

The Erection Question:<\/strong><\/p>\n

What if I get an erection?<\/strong>
\nIt\u2019s unlikely that this will happen, as nudism is not sexual in nature, especially in a family camp environment like Avatan. This atmosphere of community, authenticity, and freedom allows you to connect with others in a completely judgment-free manner. If you\u2019re looking for an erotic, adults-only experience, we respectfully ask that you seek out other locations.<\/p>\n
